Amy
K. Fletcher, L.M.T. graduated from Phoenix Therapeutic Massage
College, located in Scottsdale AZ, in 2001 and has been a full
time massage therapist ever since. Upon completing a 760 hour
therapeutic massage program, she immediately began taking continuing
education classes. With over 1200 hours of education, Amy is a
certified LaStone therapist, trained in Thai Massage, Polarity
therapy, Reiki (Level I), and has completed Cranio-Sacral therapy
levels I and II. In her 8 years of professional experience
Amy
has worked for several chiropractors and acupuncturists, and at
some of the country’s most reputable destination resorts,
including the Broadmoor- located in Colorado Springs-, the Arizona
Biltmore, and Lake Austin Spa Resort. Besides being a spa guru,
Amy taught Hydrotherapy at her alma mater, Phoenix Therapeutic
Massage College in 2003 and was a teaching assistant for Reflexology,
Injury Massage, Acupressure and a Hydrotherapy Instructor at The
Arizona College of Massage Therapy, in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004-2005.
Amy has lived in Austin since 2005, and loves everything that
Austin has to offer.
Amy
has a deep passion for learning, exercise of all kinds, connecting
people to their community and helping people to live their lives
to the fullest. She is adept at problem solving and creative thinking,
which translates to an effective treatment for any ailment, every
time. As an athlete herself, she understands the continual rigors
the exercising body endures, as well as what it takes to keep
it healthy and functioning. Amy is caring and compassionate- when
you come to her for massage, you leaving feeling more like yourself.
In
her free time, Amy enjoys training for marathons, cycling, and
a good sweaty yoga class. You can also find her organizing a 5k
race, shooting a documentary or writing a short novella and finding
the best new eateries in Austin with her friends and loved ones.
